FRED W. ALLES August 27, 1912 ~ December 10, 2008 AGE: 96 RESIDENCE: Greeley TRIBUTE: Fred Alles was born to J.G. and Katherine Alles in Lincoln, Nebraska. He moved with his family to the Greeley area in 1928. On December 18, 1935 he married Alvine Dietz at St. Paul's Congregational Church in Greeley. Alvine was the love of his life for 66 years. She passed away on December 18, 2001, the evening of their 66th wedding anniversary. During his years in Greeley, Mr. Alles worked at the SLW Ranch, farming one of their farms with his family. He, also, worked at Lee Brothers Hardware Store, Boyles Bean Company, Carl Koch's Elevator Company, and during World War II he worked on war planes for United Airlines in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In 1949 Mr. Alles became a cabinet maker and finish carpenter for Jake Schneider, working at that profession until he retired in 1977. Mr. Alles was a member of Grace Church and loved Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Mr. Alles died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 in Greeley. SURVIVORS: Two daughters and their spouses, Joyce Doty and Gene, Barbara Cowser and Marlin, all of Greeley; a son and his wife, Fred Alles, Jr. and Elaine of Fruit Heights, Utah; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: His wife, Alvine; his parents; four brothers; and one sister. SERVICES: Memorial services will held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. Interment was held earlier at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
