Gary Skulborstad, 71, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his home in Greeley, with his wife of 50 years, Cathy Skulborstad, at his side. Gary was born November 10, 1942 in Madison, Minnesota. He met his wife, Cathy, in Salina Kansas in 1961. They lived in Kansas for 7 years and moved to Littleton, Colorado in 1970. Gary worked as a Quality Control Inspector in Manufacturing, Aircraft & Aerospace industries for much of his career. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, fly-tying, reading and woodworking; but above all he loved being a "Papa" to his four grandchildren. Gary and Cathy relocated to Greeley within the last 2 years to be closer to family. Survivors: Wife, Catherine Skulborstad of Greeley; Daughter Amy Ogden and husband, Sam, of Greeley; Daughter, Sarah Ogden and husband, Dan, of San Diego, CA; Grandchildren Sam Ogden III, Will Ogden, Sarah-Cate Ogden, and Aly Ogden. Siblings, Mark (Christal) Skulborstad, Dale (Ruth) Skulborstad, Sandy (Carl) Unrein; Aunt, Skip Randleman; Cousin, Mike Randleman; as well as many other beloved Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and their families. Preceded in death by: Parents, Palmer C. Skulborstad and Marlys B. Skulborstad Services: A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Fox Run Good Samaritan Senior Apartments, 1720 60th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado with a graveside service at a later date in Salina, Kansas.
