Gavin Lee Huckaby, 18, of Eaton, CO, passed away on May 19, 2020 due to complications from an auto accident in Platteville, CO.

He was born January 7, 2002 in Greeley, CO to Barrett Huckaby and Paula Fury (Decker).

Gavin was passionate about science, the outdoors, adventure, trips with his family, Boy Scouts Troop #41, completing Life Scout, Order of the Arrow and the 88 mile US/Canada canoe adventure, Good Citizen award recipient and a researcher of microbial fuel cells.

He will be remembered for his dedication, his character and his integrity, but most of all, his smile and his gentle loving heart. Knowing him was truly a once in a lifetime experience and he will forever be in our hearts.

He is survived by his mother and father, a sister and brother, grandparents, Larry & Jenean Huckaby, aunts, uncles and cousins.
