George Warren Brewster III, 89 of Greeley, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at his home.
He was born on February 28, 1929 in Sheridan, Wyoming to George W. and Marian (Hayes) Brewster.
George graduated from Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana and later went on to attend Westpoint Military Academy. He was drafted to the U.S. Army in 1951 and he received an honorable discharge and later went on to serve in the army reserve for 4 years. He also attended Montana State College in Bozeman, Montana.
Mr. Brewster married Doris Bogue on July 15, 1962 in Sheridan, Wyoming. He worked as a rancher for many years and later became a technician for IBM where he worked for 20 years.
George was very active in the Weld County Republican Party Committee, enjoyed playing softball, participating in the Senior Games and going on road trips. He was a descendent of William Brewster who came to the U.S. on the Mayflower.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Brewster; 2 step sons, Joe (Alice) Baker of Big Horn, Wyoming and Leo Baker of Torrington, Wyoming; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a brother, Don Brewster of Salt Lake City. He is preceded in death by a sister, Eula Ebling and a step son, Loren Baker Brewster.
Memorial service 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. Military Honors will be performed.
