George E. Orr, 68 of Greeley, died on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at St. Anthony's Central Hospital in Denver.
He was born on April 1, 1940 in Lucerne, Colorado to Lloyd and June (Rayburn) Orr. He attended Eaton High School graduating in 1958.
Mr. Orr married Barbara Barnhart on November 17, 1963 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Greeley. He was employed with Ford Motor Company parts departments for 48 years; working for Garnsey & Wheeler in Greeley, Wellman Ford in California, Ehrlich Motors in Greeley and Brighton Ford.
He was a member of the Greeley/Evans Moose Lodge #909 since 1980. He served on the board of officers holding several positions, also earning his degree as a Fellow. He was also a member of the Eagles in LaSalle.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Orr of Greeley; his son and daughter in law, Greg and Lori Orr and 2 grandchildren, Alec and Taylor Orr all of Galloway, Ohio; a brother; his Aunt Shirley and several cousins, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and June Orr.
Memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue in Greeley.
