Gerald J. "Gerry" Bristow, 52 of Greeley, died on Sunday, May 13, 2007 at his home.
He was born on April 15, 1955 in Greeley to Dale J. and Norma Jean (Wickstrom) Bristow.
Gerry lived in Greeley for most of his life and was a 1973 graduate of University High School. Following graduation from high school, he attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling.
He married Linda Lambert and to this union his daughter Mindy Jo Bristow was born. He later married Nyla Clark on June 5, 1982 in Greeley at the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Bristow worked as an over the road truck driver from 1975 until 1987. In 1987 he opened Bristow Mechanical Services which he owned and operated until 2006 when he was injured in a motorcycle accident and was no longer able to operate his business. He enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing, jet skiing and motorcycle riding. He was a member of the Harley Owner's Group.
Survivors include his wife, Nyla Bristow of Greeley; a daughter, Mindy Bristow of Evans; 2 grandchildren, Jeremiah and Alexis Bristow; his mother and step father, Norma and George Saiter of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; a brother and his wife, Larry and Cindy Bristow of Watkins, Colorado; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and 3 nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, Dale Bristow and a brother, Thomas Bristow.
A memorial service to celebrate Gerry's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Eaton Evangelical Free Church, 1325 3rd Street.
