Geraldine May Holcomb, 85 of Greeley, formerly of Westminster, died on Friday, October 3, 2008 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born on February 24, 1923 in Freedom, Nebraska to Charles and Zella (Vandervort) Housley. Geraldine married Kenneth C. Holcomb on October 16, 1939 in Atwood, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Holcomb managed an A&W Rootbeer Drive-in in Westminster for many years and also was an Avon Lady. After she retired she enjoyed spending her time taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter and her husband, Vicki and Herman Libsack of Greeley; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Sally Johnson of Idaho and Rosalie Pinkerton of California. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, Charles and Zella Housley and 2 duaghters, Karen Newman and Kristy Holcomb. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.
