Gerardo Jove Hernandez, 59, of Greeley, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
Gerardo was born on August 11, 1960 in Mexico to Luis Jove Garcia and Gloria Hernandez Carrillo. He received his education in Mexico and later worked as a mechanic with Peñoles before moving to Greeley in 2001. Gerardo continued his career as a mechanic with Quality in LaSalle and with DXP in Greeley until the time of his death.
Gerardo was united in marriage Guadalupe Castañeda in 1984 and two children were born to this union. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed watching all sports, especially soccer.
He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe of Greeley; son, Luis Gerardo Jove Castañeda of Mexico; daughter, Lizeth and husband Juan Serrano of Greeley; three grandchildren; his parents, Luis and Gloria of Mexico; seven sisters, Dora, Adriana, Blanca, Lorena, Irma, Guadalupe, Julieta and Gloria Jove; one brother, Luis Jove; and many nieces and nephews.
Private family funeral services will be held at a later date at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at the Evans Cemetery.
