Obituary

Gertrude L. "Laurie" Perko, 91, of Greeley, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the Bonell Good Samaritan Center.
She was born on January 3, 1915 in Morrison, Colorado to Quentin and Mary L. (Flemming) Lamm.
Laurie graduated with a teaching degree from Colorado State College of Education in Greeley and later went on to teach for a few years. She later married Joe Perko in Denver in 1938. They later divorced. She also owned and operated a hotel and restaurant in Otis, Colorado. Following this she began a career in real estate in which she owned property and also worked as a realtor.
Survivors include 3 nieces, Atheline Engel of Greeley, Lucy Williamson of Greeley and Mary Kanode of Ault; a nephew, Charles Lamm of Isreal and several cousins, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 half brother.
A memorial service to celebrate Laurie's life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Bonell Good Samaritan Center Borgmann Chapel, 708 22nd Street in Greeley. Cremation. Her urn will be buried at a later date in the Morrison Cemetery.
