Gissel Luna of Greeley, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2023 at North Colorado Medical Center, she was 19 years old.

She was born on April 1, 2003, to Ramiro and Oliva (Mercado) Luna in Greeley, Colorado. She attended high school at Greeley West and graduated with a diploma in 2021.

Gissel met the love of her life, Juan Isaiah Gonzales on February 1, 2022, and the two of them resided in Milliken since May of 2022. Aside from spending time with her family, which she very truly enjoyed, Gissel loved going to the movies and going shopping, as well as experimenting with all sorts of different make-up to try new and fun looks. Her most proud and enjoyable moment was learning that she was expecting a beautiful baby boy with the love of her life. Gissel and Isaiah both shared an immense joy knowing that their son would be born out of love. Mateo Julian Gonzales Luna was born February 25, 2023.

She is survived by her husband, Juan Isaiah Gonzales, her son Mateo Julian Gonzales Luna, her parents Ramiro and Oliva Luna, her brothers Ramiro Luna Jr, and Eduardo Luna and her sister Karina Luna.
She was preceded by her grandparents Arturo Luna and Maria Ansuncion Sanchez Jimenez.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8th from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel in Evans with a recitation of the rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9th beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Journey Christian Church. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
