Gladys M. Meisenheimer, 85 of Brush, formerly of Greeley, died on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
She was born on November 9, 1921 in Greenville, Ohio to Arthur P. and Anna (Flurkey) Kearns. She graduated from the Greenville High School in 1939. She went on to work for a short time for a well known attorney's office in Greenville. Gladys enlisted in the U.S. Army during WWII and served with the Women's Auxiliary Corps. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Army she went on to attend Salt City Business College in Hutchinson, Kansas for 2 years.
Gladys married Roy Meisenheimer on October 21, 1950 in Hutchinson, Kansas. They have lived in the Brush/Ft. Morgan areas for the past 5 years. The couple had lived in Milliken, Colorado for 19 years prior to living in Ft. Morgan. During her working life worked for the Uptime Corporation in Denver and later went on to work for Hewlett Packard in Greeley, Loveland and Ft. Collins from 1972 until her retirement in 1986. She is a past member of the Windsor Evangelical Free Church.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Meisenheimer of Brush; a daughter, Melodie Boldt of Indianapolis, Indiana; 3 sons, Charles Meisenheimer of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Michael Meisenheimer of Windsor, Colorado and Edwin Meisenheimer of Aurora, Colorado; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 3 nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Eileen DeCamp.
A memorial service to celebrate Gladys' life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
