Gladys Yvonne “Tootsie” Foster, 76, of Greeley, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Tru Hospice of Northern Colorado in Greeley.

She was born January 25, 1940 to James W. & Gladys Opal (Roberts) McCully in Chickasha, Ok. She moved to Akron, Colorado when she was 16 years old. In 1958, she married Rod Alt and to that union 2 children were born, Rod & Terri. On March 19, 1981 she married Floyd J. “Frosty” Foster at the First Christian Church in Greeley.

The joy of her life was her grand and great-grandchildren and she loved keeping up with their activities. She liked the outdoors and enjoyed camping in the mountains and gardening, along with reading and doing cross stitch. She worked at a variety of jobs including the Greeley Medical Clinic, Key Bank, Agland, Eaton Grove and Happy Life Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd “Frosty” Foster, a son, Rod (Mary) Alt of Phoenix, 3 daughters, Terri (Shawn) Sullivan of Burlington, Roxanne (Gary) Carsten of Eaton, and Sheri (Ted) Carlson of Eaton, 2 brothers, Jim (Bonnie) McCully of Kearney, NE, and Don (Donna) McCully of Akron, IA, 2 sisters, Wanda (Tom) Behm of Bailey, and Sandy (Dan) Lytle of Rocky Ford, 8 grandchildren; Kara Ford, Autumn (JC) Abbruzzi, Meagan Sullivan, “Bubba” Sullivan, T.J. Carsten, Tara (John) Manolian, Krista Carlson and Kindra Carlson and 2 great-grandchildren, Mila Abbruzzi and Harrison Manolian and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents, James & Gladys McCully, and a brother, Ken McCully.

A celebration of Gladys’ life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Tru Hospice in care of Moser Funeral Service.
