Obituary

Glen D. Martindale, 90, of LaSalle, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
Glen was born on August 20, 1931, in Gering, NE, the youngest of nine children born to Ora and Clara Mae (Gering) Martindale.
Glen married the love of his life, Thelma Martindale on February 28, 1974, in Cheyenne, WY.
Glen owned Premier Protective Coatings CO, refurbishing water tanks and towers. He also was involved in moving and erecting them, many of them in Greeley and Weld County for 45 years.
He served in the United States Army Air Force from 1947 to 1950.
Glen was a man of integrity, if he told you he would do something, he did it.
Glen and Thelma spent the last 31 years wintering in Tucson, AZ, where he enjoyed the warm weather and the desert. He also went to many antique shows, antique shops and flea markets while in Tucson. He also enjoyed western movies. Glen collected western memorabilia for many years including spurs, chaps, saddles, etc. which consisted of many hours of "horse trading" with family and friends. Glen was always for the less fortunate, Joe and Benny.
He was preceded in death by all of his siblings; parents; and other family members and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma; son, Sidney Martindale of Greeley, CO, Kenton (Dionne) Martindale of Gering, NE; daughter, Sheri Gorr of Faith, SD; along with seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews and two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
Glen is now, and will be forever dearly missed "Round the River Bend We Will Meet Again"
