Gloria Riojas Retana, 32 of Greeley, died on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in Zacatecas, Mexico. She was born on June 18, 1976 in Denver, Colorado to Rodolfo and Sofia (Zamora) Riojas. Gloria graduated from Valley High School in Gilcrest. She later married Jose Retana in Greeley on February 14, 1996 in Greeley. Survivors include her brothers, Daniel Riojas of Evans, Rudy Riojas of Platteville and Hector Riojas of California and her husband Jose Retana of Greeley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rodolfo and Sofia Riojas. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church (520 Marion Street) in Platteville. Interment will follow in the Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville.
