Gregorio "Goyo" Muro, 85, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at his home in Ault, Colorado.

He was born on May 10, 1940, in Mexico to Elisa Morales and Felix Muro. In 1971, he moved to Ault, where he made his home and for more than 20 years he worked for Fagerberg Farms. He met the love of his life, Candelaria Moreno, and they were married in Greeley on September 18, 1974. He became a US Citizen on August 7, 1996.

Goyo enjoyed making tamales with his wife and, more than anything, cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Candelaria Muro; his children, Joe (Susan) Moreno of Ault, Jerry (Christina) Moreno of Greeley, Joseph Martinez of Evans, and Joanne (Adam) Martinez of Evans; a brother, Juan Muro of Pierce; a sister, Amada Muro Carrea; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Goyo is preceded in death by his parents, Elisa and Felix Muro; brothers, Emilio Muro and Divorcio Del Toro; and great-grandson, Josiah Garcia.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Journey Christian Church, 4754 W 31st Street in Greeley, Colorado.
