Gretchen Ann Romero-Hoffman, 59 of Greeley, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 27, 1960 in Kimball, Nebraska to Allen J. and Eleanor (Vaske) Hoffman.

Gretchen graduated from Ft. Morgan High School in 1978. She later graduated from C.S.U. with a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy.

She married Adam J. Romero on April 24, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gretchen worked for the State of Colorado as a youth services counselor, a client manager and as a juvenile parole officer.

Survivors include her husband, Adam J. Romero; 2 sisters, Kasandra J. “Kasi” Stocker and Amy Walker; a brother, Matthew Hoffman; a stepdaughter Belinda Romero; 2 step sons, Adam W. Romero. Aaron Romero and wife Samantha & grandsons, Jake and Emmett Romero. She is preceded in death by a sister, Heidi Osterander, a brother, Allen Mark Hoffman and a brother in law, Charles “Chip” Chase.

A memorial service to celebrate Gretchen’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.

Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
