Guadalupe “Lupe” Martinez, 70 of Evans, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at her home.

She was born October 20, 1948 to Blas & Felipa (Perez) Gomez in Camp Spring, Texas. She attended Eaton High School. Lupe was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading Stephen King books, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, but loved spending time with her family most of all.

She is survived by her sons, Julian (Alma) Arredondo, Jr. of Milliken, Colorado, Cruz A. Martinez, Jr. of Evans, Colorado, and Alex C. (Shanna) Martinez, of Greeley, a daughter, Selena (Pete) Arredondo of Littleton, Colorado, brothers, Macario & Blas Gomez, sisters, Anita Salazar, Margie Gomez, and Chayo Mezney all of Greeley, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Felipa Perez and a sister, Enedina Perea.

A celebration of Lupe’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, CO 80620.
