Guillermo William“Willie” Sanchez, 88, of Eaton passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born June 25, 1931 in Sterling, Colorado to Zeferino & Loretta (Plancarte) Sanchez. On November 8, 1954, he married Manuela Martinez in Fort Collins and they celebrated 65 years together.

Willie enjoyed working with his hands in agriculture and farming, steel fabrication, meat processing and as custodial staff. He was a member of the Westview Church of Christ in Greeley.

He is survived by his wife, Manuela Sanchez of Eaton, CO, his sons, Johnny Sanchez of Fort Collins, CO. and William “Willie, Jr.” Sanchez of Ardmore, OK, his daughters, Maria Loretta Tostado of Round Rock, TX, Balbina Sanchez of Eaton, CO, Yvonne Sanchez of Evans, CO, Yolanda Sanchez of Pflugerville, TX, Ruth Myatt of Round Rock, TX, Sarah Centeno of Round Rock, TX, Elena Rhodes of Abilene, TX, his brother, Fortano Sanchez, of Palm Springs, CA, his sister, Rita Tovar of Austin, TX, 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Magda Rodriguez, a brother, Louis Sanchez, and sisters, Rafaela Garza and Guadalupe Mora.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans, CO. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Westview Church of Christ, 4151 20th Street in Greeley.
