Obituary

Harry Brug, 76 of Lake George, Colorado died due to complications of a stroke on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland.
He was born on November 21, 1935 in Galeton, Colorado to Fred and Katie (Wilhelm) Brug. His folks died when he was a young boy and he was raised by his aunt and uncle.
Mr. Brug married Janice E. Swanson on February 9, 1962 in Laramie, Wyoming.
Harry graduated from Greeley High School in 1954. After graduation he went to work for J.C. Penney where he worked for 16 years and made the district top ten in sales, twice. He and his wife owned the Timberline Motel and Apartments in Leadville for 15 years. They retired to their home in Lake George in 1994. He was a hard worker and very successful in any business he went into. He enjoyed all sports.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Brug of Lake George; a son, Mike Brug of Lake George; a daughter, Connie Bopp & husband Mike of Severance, Colorado; granddaughter, Kendall Brug of Loveland; a brother, Melvin Brug & wife Ola of Greeley; 2 sisters, Darlene Winter & husband Harold and Jean Stoll & Norm all of Greeley. Also survived by several nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews and 3 sisters in law, Darlene Brug, Margie Brug and Reatha Brug; 3 brothers in law, Bob Hoke, Dean Swanson & wife Linda and Gary Swanson. He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Jake, Fred and Leo Brug; 2 sisters, Victoria Schaffer and Helen Hoke.
A memorial service to celebrate Harry's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2011 at the Moser Funeral Service chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado.
Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of choice.
NOTE: A reception will follow the service at the Evans Community Center.
