Helen Williams, 92, of Lasalle, died on Sunday, August 6, 2006 at the Fairacres Manor Nursing Home. She was born on May 28, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois to Fredrick Gardner and Elizabeth Mae (Kelly) Moore. Helen was raised in Indiana and Missouri and she graduated from Bolivar High School in Missouri. She moved to California during the depression where she met George Williams. They were later married on December 24, 1939 in Pampa, Texas. They traveled extensively while George worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and they moved to Milliken in 1953 and later to LaSalle in 1955. She worked as a seamstress for 17 years for Wright and McGill in Greeley and Denver. She was a past member of the First Christian Church in Greeley. Helen was a wonderful mother & friend to all that knew her. Survivors include a son and his wife, Jan and Carol Williams of Lasalle and a daughter and her husband, Karen and Frank Vannest; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George Williams on October 4, 2003 and 3 brothers. A memorial service to celebrate Helen's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Cremation.
