Helen Williams, 92, of Greeley, formerly of Grand Junction, went peacefully home to meet with her savior on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit in Greeley. Helen was born on January 30, 1913 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Bunda (Bergh) and Peter Williams. Upon her father's death, she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Roy Moore. She graduated from Minneapolis West High School and Northwestern Bible Institute in Minneapolis. She married Pastor Allan Neil Williams Sr. on June 24, 1937 and they made Christ the center of their home & life until the Lord took him to Heaven on April 26, 1978. The served in Nashville, MN, Luverne, MN, Safford, MN, Lakewood, CO, Rockford, IL, Compton, CA, Long Beach, CA and Grand Junction, CO. She lived in Grand Junction for 36 years moving to Greeley in September of 2003. She was a pastor's wife for 40 years and an office manager for orthodontist, Dr. Robert Orr of Grand Junction for 27 years retiring in 1997. She taught Sunday school for 75 years. She loved to read christian fiction and her bible. She touched so many lives by her Godly influence and generous spirit. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Survivors include 4 daughters, Mary Elaine Nolan of Lakewood, CO, Ruth Helen Lindow of Venice, Florida, Elizabeth Ann Pearson of Lakeville, MN and Lois Margaret Slack of Spokane, WA; a son, Allan Neil Williams of Greeley; 22 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Allan Neil Williams Sr.; her parents; a step father, Roy Moore; a daughter, Deborah Kay Williams; 2 grandaughters, Lisa & Leslie Pearson, 3 brothers, Roy and Jack Moore and Russell Williams. A funeral service to celebrate Helen's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the Bookcliff Baptist Church in Grand Junction, CO. Interment Orchard Mesa Cemetery in Grand Junction.
