Henry P. Lujan (Harry), 81, of Greeley, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. He was born on May 30, 1931 in Gill, Colorado to Margarito and Veronica (Pena) Lujan. Henry spent the majority of his life in the challenging career of youth counselor for those suffering from drug, alcohol and other related problems. He provided leadership, training and counseling in Washington State, California, New Mexico Oklahoma and Colorado. As drug therapy consultant for Juvenile Parole Services for Washington State, he assisted in the development of learning and skills development centers working with multicultural groups. He was a Director of the Drug Dependency Unit program at the VA Hospital in Seattle, WA where he developed the Rehabilitation Program for the Vietnam era drug concerns. He shared his experiences in prisons, jails, classrooms, service clubs, churches, radio, and national television. Henry was also the President of Youth Help Association in Greeley in the late 1970's. Other areas of occupation include Monfort Packing, Maintenance worker at University of Northern Colorado, Dayspring Christian School, Driver for Bunting Waste Removal, and as a Barber. He is survived by a brother in Apple Valley, CA and sister in Greeley, CO as well as 5 sons, 3 daughters, 23 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 sons. A memorial service to celebrate Henry's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Ave in Evans, CO.
