Obituary

Herbert Clifton Eala Herbert Clifton Eala (Echohawk), 59, transitioned to Spirit World on Wednesday January 20th, 2011 in Greeley, Colorado. He was born July 26th 1951 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Grace M. Valandra of St. Francis, South Dakota and Crescencio (Chris) E. Eala of Ilocos Sur, Philippine Islands. After his father opened Chris Music in Fort Collins, Herbert spent most of his life there. Survivors: His wife, Nyla Eala, His daughters, Alorha Eala-Baga, Keetah Dodson, and Halona Rodiguez and his son, Jeremiah Eala, in addition to nine grandchildren. Tribute: He graduated from Fort Collins High School and became a certified welder after two years at Larimer County Voc Tech. He had a long successful career as a welder; not only supervising at several fabrication shops, but also owning two custom fabrication businesses. He was loved by all who knew him. Other survivors: Older sisters; Evangelina Eala & Christinia Eala of Fort Collins, CO, little brother, Brad French of Evans, CO. Preceded in death by: His parents, Chris E. Eala and Grace M. Valandra. Memorial Service 3:00 p.m. Monday at Moser Funeral & Cremation Service chapel, 3501 South 11th Avenue, Evans, CO 80620. Note: Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Nonprofit Organization: Tiyospaye Winyan Maka, who is building homes for the poorest of the poor on the Pine ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
