Reverend Hezkaih Harvey Gipson "HK" was born on September 28, 1933, in Weisner, Louisiana to Sam and Lela Mae Sanders Scott.
HK spent his adolescence in Louisiana and Port Arthur, Texas. As a young man, HK became a carpenter, specializing in scaffolding, with the company Bethlehem Steel. He was also a proud member of the union.
In the early 1980's, HK moved to Wyoming. He later fell in love with Colorado, establishing a home there. HK continued with the union and sometimes worked general contracting jobs. He worked on many projects including Mile High Stadium, Coors Field and the Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial Bridge between Beaumont and Port Arthur Texas.
As an ordained minister, HK was blessed to visit many churches throughout Northern Colorado. HK had a deep passion for God and church. His love knew no bounds and extended to everyone he met. He made friends any and everywhere that he would go.
HK is survived by son Jeffrey Gipson (Jessica Gipson); daughter Vera Roslyn Gipson; grandchildren Jonathan Gipson, Lloyd Keith Gipson, Tavian Gipson, Tatum Gipson, Kennedra Davis, Kimberly Davis; great grandchildren Natalya Christian and Chelyah Christian; sisters Roberta and Lela Mae Gipson; brother Isiah Gipson
He is proceeded in death by his father Sam Gipson; mother Lela Mae Sanders Scott; step father Sir Walter White; brothers Tommie James, Ledell, Sam, Leroy, Cleveland Gipson; sisters Erma and Shirley Gipson; son Harvey Kenneth Gipson
