Elsie (Iris) Luse Redmond, 88 died at her granddaughter's Greeley home on August 1, 2007, after a battle with cancer Iris was born on November 3, 1918, in Garden Grove, Iowa to Ira and Annetta (Womack) Luse. She graduated from Lineville High School in Iowa in 1936. She married her pen pal, William Alfred (Al) Redmond on November 14, 1936 in Platteville, Colorado. They began their ministry life with the Assemblies of God with their first position being at Worland, Wyoming from 1945 to 1950. They then pastored for two years in Sheridan, Wyoming. In 1952, they accepted and served in the pastorate at Bozeman First Assembly of God Church in Bozeman, Montana for 14 years. During this time Iris supported her husband faithfully throughout his ministry, she earned her license to preach with the Assemblies of God in 1953. In 1966, the pioneered the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Missoula, Montana until their retirement in 1981. Her beloved husband, Al, died in 1987 after nearly 51 years of marriage. Iris continued to live in Missoula until 1999 when she moved to Trenton, Missouri. She resided in Greeley, Colorado from 2003 until the time of her death. Her interests included: reading, playing Skip-Bo, church activities and her family. Survivors include a daughter, Elsie C. (Ray) Stubbs of Bozeman, Montana; a son, Larry A. (Esther) Redmond of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 7 grandchildren, Starlene (Mark) Johns, Melody Stubbs, and Darla (Pete) Blankevoort all of Spokane, Washington, Douglas (Leisha) Stubbs of Belgrade, Montana, Larry A. Jr. (Robyn) Redmond of Phoenix, Arizona, Kristi (Del) Weyer of Greeley, Colorado, Kendra (Curtis) McCullough of Colorado Springs, Colorado 16 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson as well as 4 Siblings, Margaret Vinzant of Illinois, Madelyn Kelley of Arkansas, Helen Browning of Colorado and Jack Luse of Nevada. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rev. William Alfred Redmond, and 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at the Christian Center Assembly of God Church in Bozeman, Montana. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Bozeman.
