Ivor Lewis Clark, 81, died on Monday, April 23, 2007 at the V.A. Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was born on September 20, 1925 in Bayard, Nebraska to Lewis Edward and Olive May (Gray) Clark. Ivor married Fukiko "Mickey" Clark on June 7, 1961 in Fukuoka, Japan. Mr. Clark graduated from high school in 1946. He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Ivor retired from the Marine Corps in 1970 after more than 20 years of service to his country and he then served reserve duty until 1980. He and his family moved to Keenesburg in 1970 and later moved to Greeley in 2000. He was a member of the Keenesburg American Legion, post #180 and the Greeley chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed baseball, oil painting and he especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Mickey Clark of Greeley; 3 daughters and their husbands, Lucy and Jeff Herring of Greeley, Jully and Kelly Holehan of Chino, California and Cindy and Jay Gordon of Eaton; 5 grandchildren, Brett and Leslie Herring, Haley and Kelsey Holehan and Allyson Gordon; a sister and her husband, Patty and Bill Dean of Greeley, 2 brothers, Vernon Clark of El Paso, Texas and Gary Clark of Greeley. He is also survived by 5 children from a previous marriage; Bill, Irene, Ramona, Rose and Sandra. He is preceded in death by his parents. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the Westview Church of Christ, 4111 West 20th Street in Greeley. Ivor's urn will be interred at the Ft. Logan National Cemetery in a private family ceremony with full military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps.
