Jack W. "The Pumpkin Man" Souther, 70 of Eaton, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 9, 2012 with his family by his side. He was born on June 3, 1942 in Greeley to Thomas Roy and Grace Helen (Hood) Souther. Jack has lived and farmed in the Eaton area for his entire life. He graduated from Eaton High School in 1961. He and his wife Bonnie operated the Pumpkin Patch in Eaton for 19 years. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Souther, his daughter, Jacki Brooks of Greeley; his son, Doug Souther and his wife Nikkie of Crescent, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, Kayla, Garrett and Elizabeth Brooks and Caden and Colby Souther and a sister, Sue Woods of Ault. He is preceded in death by his parents, Red and Grace Souther. A memorial service to celebrate Jack's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton, 1325 3rd Street in Eaton.
