James Jay "Jim" Brouhard, 77 of Platteville died on Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit in Greeley. He was born on December 5, 1930 in Washington County, Kansas to Thomas O. and Ruth Pearl (Roland) Brouhard. Jim married Claire Simmons on August 13, 1950 in Vallejo, California. They moved to Platteville in 1953. Mr. Brouhard was a truck driver and he drove for most of his working life. Survivors include his wife, Claire Brouhard of Platteville; 2 sons, John Scott Brouhard of Platteville and Barry Brouhard and his wife May also of Platteville; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 2 brothers, Thomas O. Brouhard Jr. of Eufalda, Oklahoma and Jack J. Brouhard of Andover, Kansas. At Jim's request there are no services scheduled.
