James Dean Minney, 61 of Johnstown, born April 4th, 1951 to Lois Minney & Simon Pochop in Sundance, Wyoming and raised after the age of 2 by Paige Minney has gone to meet the Lord and his family in heaven on Nov 22nd, 2012.
Jim was a hard worker from the time he began. He was strong and stern but always willing to help those who needed it. He served in our United States Army from 1970-72. Prior to entering the military he married Kathy (Plata) Minney. They had four children James P. Minney (Beth), David Eric Minney(deceased), Joseph Minney (and family), and Amanda (Minney) Hirschfeld (Adam), who will all deeply miss him. Later he married Rosita Minney, he took on the role to four more children, Santiago Gomez, Michael Gomez, Johnny Ray Valdez and Roseanne Valdez. He loved us all with his big heart.
He loved camping and fishing when he could pull himself away from working. He's held his certifications for mechanics and is a jack of all trades. He worked JW Brewer Tire and Autozone for many years, but also had a few other odd jobs here and there. Before his death he kept maintenance for Gene Doty Trucking. There was nothing he couldn't fix. He also enjoyed the company of his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and all that call him Dad or PaPa. He is also survived by his brother John Minney and sister Faith Davis.
