His auto parts enthusiasm briefly took him away from Greeley, where he managed stores in Nebraska and California before returning home to Colorado. He worked for Rogers Automotive in Greeley for 12 years. Jamie was an avid sports fan and he rooted for the Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche and the Rockies with varying degrees of success. Jamie, the "Ultimate Auto Parts Specialist", is survived by his father, Wayne Burris of Greeley; his mother, Gloria Austin of Greeley; 2 elder siblings, Tim Burris of Honolulu of Hawaii and Mike Burris of Greeley; 4 aunts and uncles, Vicki & Bill Robbins of Chandler, Arizona, Wes and Norene Austin of Scottsdale, Arizona, Rich Burris of Gypsum, Colorado and Marj and Ralph Aab of Greeley along with other relatives near and far. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilma Lowe and Ray Austin and Mabel and John Burris and an aunt, Roberta Burris. A Remembrance Service with a time for friends and family to share memories will be held on Tuesday, November 29th from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. Refreshments will be provided during that time. Per Jamie's wishes, he will be cremated and the family will scatter his ashes. Memorial gifts may be made to the Rocky Mountain Wildlife Conservation Center in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado 80620.
