Janet Elaine Timothy, 69 of Greeley passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Hospice Inpatient Unit at North Colorado Medical Center.

Janet was born on October 14, 1947 in Greeley to Clarence and Dorothy (Hirsch) Rossman. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1965. She went on to attend the University of Colorado Boulder and later transferred to UNC where she earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing degree. She later earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado.

Ms. Timothy worked at Swedish Medical Center, Poudre Valley Hospital, McKee Medical Center, North Colorado Medical Center and Bonell Good Samaritan Center where she ran the Star Care unit. She also taught nursing at the UNC.

Survivors include her mother, Dorothy Hoff of Evans; her son, Brian Timothy of Arvada; 2 sisters, Diana Janssen of Littleton and Cheryll Carson of Bullhead City, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Rossman, a son, Aaron Timothy and a brother, Thomas Rossman.

A memorial reception will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Evans Community Center, 1100 37th Street.
