Jeff Derr, 36, of Eaton, Colorado died on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born on January 23, 1969 in Greeley to Arden W. and Phyllis (Brug) Derr. Jeff married Sherrie Prottsman on February 24, 1996 in Haxtun, Colorado. They have lived in Eaton since 1998. He graduated from Highland High School in Ault in 1987. He worked for Eagle Electric and The Electric Shop. Jeff loved hunting, derby cars, making friends, playing Texas Hold'em, sand duning and collecting coins. Survivors include his wife, Sherrie Derr of Eaton; his mother, Phyllis Derr of Pierce; a sister, Carrie Snyder of Tyler, Texas; 4 brothers, Ronald Derr of Greeley, Alan Derr of Pierce, Steven Derr of Greeley and Dean Derr of Greeley; his mother and father inlaw, Barbara and Gayle Prottsman of Haxtun; a brother in law, Nathan Prottsman of Omaha, Nebraska; 2 nieces, 4 nephews and 1 great niece. He is preceded in death by his father, Arden W. Derr. A funeral service to celebrate Jeff's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at the Eaton First Baptist Church, 228 2nd Street. Interment Eaton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel.
