Jennie Lou "Judy" Lorett, 78, of Greeley, died on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit in Greeley. She was born on September 29, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Herman and Jennie V. (Peterson) Lerch. She graduated from South High School in Denver. Judy married A. L. Lorett n February 1, 1946 in Castle Rock, Colorado. The couple moved to Greeley in 2004. Prior to living in Greeley, they lived in Estes Park, Denver and Eaton. Mrs. Lorett worked for the Weld County Department of Motor Vehicles until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Greeley and St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in Estes Park, Episcopal Church Women, PEO and Co-President of Estes Park Ladies Golf. She enjoyed walking, hiking, skiing and golf. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, A. L. Lorett of Greeley; a daughter and her husband, Deborah A. and Ken Bell of Eaton; a son and his wife, Robert A. and Cindy Lorett of Denver; 3 grandaughters and their husbands, Nicole & Phil Taminjhis of Highlands Ranch, Emily and Joe Haythorn of Eaton and Janelle & Michael Walsh of Highlands Ranch; a grandson, Blake Bell of Eaton; 3 great grandchildren, Delaney L. Walsh & Teagan Walsh both of Highland's Ranch, Mitch Haythorn of Eaton and a fourth great grandchild expected in March. She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters. A memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at 11:00 a..m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 3800 W. 20th Street. Her urn will interred in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
