Jill Denise (Powell) Brown, 53, of Greeley passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the North Colorado Medical Center. Jill was born on December 18, 1961 in Smithville, Missouri to Charles (deceased) and Georgia (Hoskins) Powell. She graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1980. In 1981 she attended UNC where she pursued a music degree. She later earned her degree in Respiratory Therapy from Front Range Community College. She worked as a respiratory therapist for over 20 years. Throughout her respiratory career she excelled and went onto management, helped develop the Star Care Unit at
Bonell Good Samaritan Center, Greeley, and served as Chairperson of the Colorado Society of Respiratory Care.
Ms. Brown was a past member of First United Presbyterian Church which is now
Cornerstone Community Church. She is survived by her three beautiful children, son, Alec (AJ), twin daughters, Kayla and Kelsy all of Denver, who were her pride and joy and source of hope. She is also survived by her loving parents Rob and Georgia Robins, her two brothers, Jeff Powell and Scott Robins (Cheryl) and two sisters, Tammy Harris (Rich), and Julie Yoder (Warren), all of Greeley, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, Charles Powell and grandparents, Helen and Buford Powell and Mack and Frances Hoskins.
A memorial service to celebrate Jill’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Cornerstone Community Church, 1321 9th Avenue in Greeley. Memorials can be made to the Church in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Co 80620.
