Tribute: Jim(Jimmie)Tulk was born in Greeley to George and Mary (Johnson)Tulk. He graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1956. Jim proceded to serve his country from 1954 to when he honorably discharged in 1962. On Oct.25,1963 he married Ileen Chrismen, his loving and devoted wife of 43 years. Together they raised three children Diane,Laurie,and George. Jim worked for the Weld Food Bank for 15 years, from which he retired. He also worked for Wright Mcgill Rod Co., Monforts Packing, and the Salvation Army whom he was a member for many years. Jim was Professional Horseshoe Pitcher for 60 years.And was a National Card holder for 57 of those years. He traveled to many tournaments and won most of them. Jim was a avid sports fan. He loved watching the Broncos,the Rockies, the Nuggets, and the Avalanche.He especially enjoyed going to his grandchildren's baseball, basketball, and football games. Jim was a loving husband, devoted father, and dedicated friend. He will dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Survivors: His wife Ileen. Two daughters Diane and Laurie.A son George; three grandchildren Justin, Jamie, and Ashlie. A brother Bill and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Mary. two brothers Frankie and Lee Kenneth. Two sisters Barbara Ann and Betty Lou, and a sister-in-law Nancy.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the Moser Funeral Service chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
Interment: Linn Grove Cemetery
Visitation: 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Moser Funeral Service chapel.
