Joanne Cruz, 56, of Greeley, passed away at her home on June 5, 2013.
She was born May 11, 1957 to Joseph and Charlotte Lorraine (Dickenson) Cruz in Denver, Colorado. She attended Greeley Central High School. In 1976, she married Toribio Benivamonde in Greeley. They later divorced. She met Alex Hernandez and they were together for many years.
Joanne attended Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and enjoyed coloring and being with her family, especially cooking for them.
She is survived by her father, Joseph Cruz, a son, Isaiah Benivamonde, daughters, Wendy and Jessica Benivamonde, brothers, David Dickenson, Robert and Anthony Cruz, a sister, Ruby Cruz and 8 grandchildren.
She was preceded by her mother, Charlotte Cruz and grandchildren, Jeremiah and Danny Perez.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday with the rosary to follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, CO.
