Joe Valentine Ruiz, 77, of Platteville, died on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit. He was born on October 23, 1928 in Taos, New Mexico to Dionisio and Josefita (Duran) Ruiz. Joe married Mary Helen Lara in 1967 in Denver. He worked at different foundries in Denver for over 40 years. He loved spending time outdoors. Survivors include his wife Mary Helen Ruiz of Platteville; 8 daughters, 2 sons, 5 sisters, 1 brother and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at the Moser Funeral Serivce Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Cremation will follow the services.
