Joel Dean Kugler, 83, of Hudson, Colorado, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

He was born on December 14, 1942, in Gorin, Missouri, to Vaughn and Estalene (Kutzner) Kugler.

He attended local schools and graduated from Wyaconda High School in Wyaconda, Missouri. Following graduation, he worked as a salesman for Kellogg’s.

Joel and Gloria moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. He later founded Kugler Trucking Company and spent many years as a long-haul truck driver. He enjoyed life on the road and appreciated the opportunity to travel throughout the country during his career.

When he was not working, Joel enjoyed spending time with family. Friends and family will remember him for his strong presence.

Joel was especially proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vaughn and Estalene Kugler.

Joel is survived by his wife, Gloria Kugler; his son, Curtis Stednitz; his brother, Carmen Kugler; his sisters, Lynn Minor and Anita Morrison; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado.
