John D. Lewis' Obituary
John D. Lewis II, 75, of Lochbuie, passed away on October 3, 2019 at his home.
He was born January 17, 1944 to John Douglas & Olive Louetta (Henke) Lewis in San Francisco, California. He graduated from Aurora Central High School and went on to attend some mechanical and photography trade schools. John volunteered at the food bank in Brighton for several years. He worked at a nursing home and an auto salvage yard. He was an active member of the Brighton Community Baptist Church and enjoyed restoring cars, gardening and was an avid reader.
He is survived by his brother, Jim (Gloria) Lewis of Lawton Oklahoma, best friend of thirty years, Jeff Elms, and 2 nephews, Matt Lewis of Dallas, Texas and Mike Lewis of Austin, Texas.
He was preceded by his parents, John & Olive Lewis and a sister, Patricia Lewis.
Services will be held at a later date.
