John Ray McLaughlin, 64, of Greeley, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at his home as a result of on-going health problems.
He was born April 6, 1952 in Denver, Colorado to Ernest Ralf & Martha (Mitzel) McLaughlin. John graduated from Greeley Central High School. Shortly after graduating, he joined the U.S. Army and was a member of a tank brigade stationed in Germany where he earned many commendations. He lived in the Greeley area and worked for many years as an associate at WalMart and as a security guard at J.B. Swift. He enjoyed traveling the West and target shooting before he became ill.
He is survived by his brother, James (Denise) McLaughlin, his nephew Adam (Faith) McLaughlin and niece, Kristin (Rene) Hernandez and 6 great nieces/nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest & Martha McLaughlin.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, CO 80620
