John S. "Tut" Duran, 62 of Evans, died on Friday, August 6, 2010 at his home. He was born on December 7, 1947 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Ben C. and Matilda S. (Pino) Duran. John Graduated from Poudre Valley High School in Ft. Collins. He later married Judy Rae Daley on August 6, 1970 in Ft. Collins. The couple has lived in Evans since 1986. Mr. Duran worked for Horton Feedlot and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, welding, operating heavy equipment and spending time with his family. He was an avid Broncos fan. Survivors include his wife Judy Rae Duran of Evans; his parents, Ben & Tillie Duran of Wellington; 1 daughter, Sheri Pottorff of Tempe, Arizona; 2 sons, Ben Duran of Greeley and Kip Duran of Kearney, Missouri; 1 sister, Bennie Cienfuegos of Ft. Collins; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother, Bentura Carlos Duran and an uncle, John Duran. A Celebration of John's life will be held today, Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the Ben Duran family home from 4:00 p.m. until close.
