John Simon Zamora, 43 of LaSalle. John Simon Zamora died on January 30, 2008 at his home.
John was born to Simon and Myna (Anderson) Zamora on August 8, 1964 in Denver, Co. He grew up in Platteville and attended school in Platteville and Gilcrest. In September of 1985 he married Rhonda Hankins with whom he had two children, Melissa and John Jr.
Mr. Zamora was a truck driver in the oil field industry for over 20 years. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking care of his home. He also liked football and was an avid Minnesota Viking fan. He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Zamora of Greeley; a son, John Zamora Jr. of Greeley; his parents, Simon and Myna Zamora of Platteville; a brother and fiancé, Wayne Zamora and Helen Anastos of Platteville; a grandmother, Lucille Zamora of Platteville; a niece, 2 nephews, and several aunts and uncles.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 8th, 2008 at the Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
