John L. Spangler, 83 of Greeley died on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at NCMC. He was born on September 5, 1927 in Shellsville, Pennsylvania to Charles and Catherine Spangler. Mr. Spangler married Ingeborg M. Bauss, his war bride, in 1948 in Germany. She preceded him in death on June 19, 1970. He served in the U.S. Army both during WWII and in the Korean War. He worked as a Watchmaker and Jeweler. Survivors include his daughter, Maxine K. Obleski of Greeley and his son, Jon C. Spangler of Redmond, Washington. Private family services will be held at a later date.
