Jose “The Boss” Cisneros, 72 of Milliken, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Hospice Inpatient Unit.

He was born on June 7, 1943 in Wauseon, Ohio to Isidro and Adela (Ramon) Cisneros.

Jose married Anna Leticia Gonzales in Greeley. They have lived in Milliken since 2013. He worked as a truck driver for 15 years and retired in 2011. He attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Greeley. Jose at a very young age knew baseball was his passion, he started umpiring high school students while his life in Texas, many years later he decided to move to Colorado. While working here in Colorado he kept telling Mrs. Cisneros that he needed to find a team to umpire, he did, so from there on until he couldn't anymore due to many health issues he had to stop. He was the best umpire in south Texas.

Grandpa and Godfather was fighting terribly to stay for the graduation of his grandson, Juan “Spikey” Rocha and God daughter, Alexa Sanchez. Also, Juan has a commitment to join the Marines in November of this year. Grandpa was so proud of him and always told him that he was going to hold on until he became a marine.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Cisneros of Milliken, 2 sons in Wisconsin, 2 stepsons in Texas, 2 stepdaughters in Denver, 2 brothers in Texas, a sister in Washington, 4 sisters in Texas, 3 grandchildren, 18 step grandchildren including Juan “Spikey” Rocha, 1 great grandchild and 1 step great grandchild. He would dearly miss his sister Clara and brother-in-law Mel from Washington State. He is preceded in death by his parents, Isidro and Adela Cisneros, a sister Gloria and a nephew, Sammy.

Services begin with a visitation on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Evans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family to help with expenses.
