Jose Padilla, 86, of Evans, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born April 16, 1935, in Greeley to Angel and Guadalupe (Cullar) Padilla. On August 11, 1957, he married Ida Mae Weston, and they enjoyed 64 years together. They moved to Evans in 1960.

Jose was a hardworking simple man. He enjoyed working outdoors, farming, and taking care of his yard. From a young age, he loved riding and working on motorcycles. He was employed by Martin Produce for many years.

Jose is survived by his wife, Ida Mae Padilla, his sons, Joseph & Alvin Padilla, a daughter, Margaret Vigil, his brothers, Victor, Angel, Sam, and George Padilla, his sisters, Lennie Alvarado and Georgia Martinez, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was preceded by his parents, Angel and Lupe Padilla, his sisters, Helena, Vicenta, Angelina, Delphina, his brothers, Delphino, Phillip, and David.

A Celebration of Jose's life will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. Inurnment at Linn Grove Cemetery.
