Jose S. Jaramillo, 85, of Greeley passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit.
Jose was born on November 10, 1928 to Telesfor and Adelina (Estrada) Jaramillo in Trementina, New Mexico. He married Celina (Sally) Gallegos in Las Vegas, New Mexico on October 22, 1950 and they lived there until August 2011 when they moved to Colorado to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren.
Mr. Jaramillo farmed for most of his life and enjoyed every minute of doing so. He was also a butcher for several years. He was a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church. His favorite pass time was barbeques with his family and family reunions in Trementina, New Mexico.
Jose is survived by his wife Celina (Sally) Jaramillo, his son Leonard & wife Maribel Jaramillo, daughters Dolores (Verna) & husband Mike Cervantes, Sharon & husband David Euresti, And also a special niece Joann Autobee. He had 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Telesfor and Adelina Jaramillo, a son Victor Jaramillo and his brothers, Bernabe, Jake, and Issac Jaramillo, and sisters, Serbana and Cordelia Sanchez.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans. A Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Upper Room Ministries, 919 18th Avenue in Greeley. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
