Joseph E. "Joe" Peavy, 58, of Greeley, died at his home on Saturday, May 27, 2006.
He as born on October 19, 1947 in Olean, New York to Nelson D. and Margaret V. (Golden) Peavy.
Joe married Georgiana V. Mericle in 1968 in Alleghany, New York. The couple lived in Greeley since 1979.
Mr. Peavy served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Joe worked as a truck driver for Kalco Express in Commerce City.
Survivors include his wife, Georgiana Peavy of Greeley; 2 daughters and their husbands, Amy & Steve Wilson of Greeley and Vickie and Jason Lindgren of Cheyenne, Wyoming; a son and his wife, Michael & Corrine Peavy of Greeley; 7 grandchildren, Travis, Matthew and Jacob Wilson, Sage Taylor and Ashley, Bridgette and Tanner Lindgren; a great granddaughter, April Wilson; 2 sisters, Mary Say of Silver Springs, New York and Margaret Scicchatiano of Olean, New York and a brother, David Peavy of Gardner, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patricia Naramore and a brother, James Peavy.
A memorial service to celebrate Joe's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Cremation.
