Joy A. Purdy passed away peacefully at home on August 28, 2024. She was born October 20, 1940 to Swede and Frieda Sundquist at their home in Milliken, Colorado.
Joy attended Milliken schools graduating in 1958. She then attended UNC majoring in political science. She was a member of Pi Kappa Sigma, Alpha Pi, the MIDROW Staff and the Young Republicans.
Joy married Wil Purdy, the love of her life, on September 24, 1961. They spent most of their lives living in Eaton and Greeley.
Joy spent most of her career as a Realtor. As chairman of the Eaton Housing Authority, she was involved with the development of Benjamin Square. Later, she was involved in Centennial Village, Governors Farm and Villa 14.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wil, her parents and many beloved pets who brought her so much joy.
Joy is survived by her son Lance Purdy (Pam), her daughter Brooke Weeks (Pete), her grandchildren Kirsten and Jackson Pallasch (Sasha), and her great grandchildren Shia and Renee, her brother Bob Sundquist, and many many friends.
