Obituary

Joyce Arleen Wiederspan, 83 of Evans, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at her home. Born Joyce Arleen Williams to Clyde and Metta (Martin) Williams on March 25, 1931 in Fort Morgan, Colorado. She attended schools there and met and later married the love of her life, Edwin Wiederspan. They were married August 27, 1950. There were two children born to this union, Cynthia Gail of Evans and Curtis Dale of Eaton. Joyce was an active member of the Church of Christ. She was a homemaker while the children were at home. In later years she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Donald Tibbets. She also worked for Corinne Popp at Mode-O-Day. After CNA training she worked for Sunset Manor Nursing Home. She also attended Northeastern Jr. College and received training in floral arranging. She used her skills to arrange flowers for many friends and family members. She found joy in the lives of her grandchildren, friends and other family members who will miss her dearly. Survivors include her husband, Edwin D. Wiederspan; her daughter, Cynthia Sagel; her son and daughter in law, Curt and Luann Wiederspan; her grandchildren, Robin Sagel (Janna), Stacey Mitchell (Ron), Rhonda Dwyer (David, Paula Flint (Shane), Kyle Wiederspan (Kerrie) Casey Wiederspan (Melissa) and Ryan Wiederspan; her great grandchildren, Kiana and Peyton Mitchell, Chet, Caiden and Trey Dwyer, Kinza Sagel and Dakota and Hudson Flint; her sister, Geraldine South and her brother, Dallas Bowles and our special friend, Flo Garcia of Fort Morgan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Metta Williams and a sister, Clydie Travis. A funeral service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Interment will follow at the Evans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain States Children's Home in Longmont, Colorado or to Hospice of Northern Colorado.
