Joye Mae Miller, 70, of Torrington, Wyoming, formerly of Evans, Colorado, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Joye was born on August 15, 1954, in Hughes, Arkansas to Guy Winford and Elsie Irene (McCoullough) Matlock.

Joye was united in marriage to Gary Leon Miller on August 9, 1981, in Thornton, Colorado. She worked in property management and was the family caregiver.

Joye was a devote Christian and Jesus follower.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Miller; son, Justin Dewey Miller; daughters, Naomi Jeannette (Van Dorn) Roberts, Jessaca Faye (Van Dorn) Smart, Kimberly (Denise) (Miller) Butler; six grandchildren; brothers, Robert Matlock; sisters, Carolynn Faye (Matlock) Whitney and Mary Jeanette (Matlock) McPartland.

Joye was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Calvin Matlock, James Matlock, William Daniel Matlock, Paul Matlock and Charles Edward Matlock.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Cheyenne National Cemetery in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
